NL | "AMAGUK maakt van elk optreden een feest met een dansbare mix van jazz en progressieve rock. Eerder speelde ze op festivals en venues als North Sea Jazz Festival, BIRD, Music Meeting, Dizzy Jazzcafé, Zwarte Ruiter, Paard Café, WOMAD en tourde ze in Londen, de Canarische eilanden en Griekenland. In 2019 won Daniel Denis de prestigieuze Erasmus Prijs Best Soloist voor hun combinatie van punk en jazz. Schreeuwende gitaar en sax solo's, superstrakke grooves, luide drums en kleurrijke harmonieën. Deze band maakt progressieve jazz/rock zoals het hoort: snel, luid en met een punkattitude!"

EN | AMAGUK is a seamless mix of progressive rock, jazz, experimental, and punk that is full of surprises. Inimitable and unique, somewhere between King Crimson, Colin Stetson, and Black Midi. The band's main distinctive feature is the lack of a bassist. An unconventional set-up made possible by the modifications on their instruments which allows them to take on the role of the bassist alternatively. They never fail to impress their audience with their energetic stage presence and powerful compositions. In 2019 they were awarded as Best Soloists at the Erasmus Competition and in October 2021 they released their debut album called Resilient Forest together with Jazz International Rotterdam.
