EN | Justine is a jazz vocalist based in Delft. She studied at the Prins Claus Conservatoire in Groningen and is currently pursuing a degree in jazz vocals at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. With Ella Fitzgerald as her main inspiration and a passion for bebop and swing, Justine brings her love for the jazz tradition to life. Her band is a group of friends who met while studying at the conservatoire. Drawing from traditional jazz, modern interpretations, and original arrangements, she brings a personal and distinctive sound to the stage.NL | Justine is een jazzvocaliste gevestigd in Delft. Ze heeft gestudeerd aan het Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen en volgt momenteel een opleiding in de richting jazz vocals aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium. Met Ella Fitzgerald als haar grote inspiratiebron en een passie voor bebop en swing, brengt Justine haar liefde voor de jazztraditie tot leven. Haar band bestaat uit een vriendengroep die elkaar ontmoet hebben tijdens het studeren aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Den Haag. Met invloeden uit de traditionele jazz, interpretaties van hedendaagse stukken en eigen arrangementen, brengt ze een persoonlijk en herkenbaar geluid mee naar de avond.

NL | Once More, omschreven als een ‘warme knuffel’, is een vernieuwend jazzcombo met een divers repertoire. We spelen vooral voor ons plezier en laten zien hoe toegankelijk jazz voor iedereen kan zijn. Drie van onze leden leerden hun instrument bespelen rond de periode waarin ze zich aansloten bij de studentenjazzvereniging Groover. Daar werd deze band zes jaar geleden gevormd binnen DE JAMFABRIEK: een plek waar muzikanten van de vereniging bij elkaar worden gebracht en begeleid om samen te leren spelen, met de mogelijkheid om een echt combo te worden en opgenomen te worden in het boekingssysteem van Groover.In de afgelopen jaren heeft Once More verschillende samenstellingen gehad, maar inmiddels spelen we al een tijdje in deze vaste bezetting: Stefan is onze relaxte drummer, Thomas onze creatieve pianist, Maxime onze ingetogen bassist, Renate onze krachtige saxofoniste en Charlotte onze fragiele zangeres. Samen spelen we klassieke jazzstandards net even anders. Ook spelen we nieuwer werk, waarbij romantiek en humor vaak centraal staan.
EN | Once More, described as a ‘warm hug,’ is an innovative jazz combo with a diverse repertoire. We play primarily for fun and aim to show how accessible jazz can be for everyone. Three of our members learned to play their instruments around the time they joined the student jazz association Groover. This band was formed six years ago within DE JAMFABRIEK, a place where musicians from the association are brought together and guided in learning to play as a group, with the opportunity to become a real combo and be included in Groover’s booking system.
Over the years, Once More has had different line-ups, but we have now been playing in this current formation for quite some time: Stefan is our laid-back drummer, Thomas our creative pianist, Maxime our reserved bassist, Renate our powerful saxophonist, and Charlotte our delicate vocalist. Together, we put a unique spin on classic jazz standards. We also perform newer pieces, often centered around romance and humor.

EN | Our band was founded in 2023 for a vocal night project at school, in the Royal Conservatoire The Hague. Since then somehow we stayed together for Bettina’s exam as a band. And then in the last semester we have also started to work on our own repertoire which includes a different approach of the interpretation of jazz standards and combining jazz with folk music from our backgrounds. Bettina’s traditional background is the main thread in the band’s story, but we also started to work on Basso’s folk music, from Hong Kong, which creates a wider possibility of creating music together, opening new opportunities and bringing novelty into the color of our work.

EN | Daniel Keller grew up as the son of alto saxophonist Wolfgang Keller, and thus a future with this instrument was already set. He has performed on various jazz stages and festivals both in the Netherlands and abroad with the big bands of the Italian maestro Peter Guidi. At the age of 11, he began studying at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where he took lessons from, among others, Simon Rigter and Joris Roelofs. Nowadays, he can be admired in the Jazz Focus Big Band, Sorrindo, and several smaller ensembles with musicians from the The Hague area.NL | Daniel Keller groeide op als zoon van de altsaxofonist Wolfgang Keller, en zodoende stond een toekomst met dit instrument toen al vast. Hij heeft op verschillende jazzpodia en festivals in het binnen en buitenland gespeeld met de bigbands van de Italiaanse maestro Peter Guidi. Op 11 jarige leeftijd is hij begonnen aan het conservatorium van Amsterdam en heeft daar les gehad van onder andere Simon Rigter en Joris Roelofs. Tegenwoordig kan hij onder andere bewonderd worden in de Jazz Focus Big Band, sorrindo en verscheidene kleinere bezettingen met muzikanten uit de omgeving van Den Haag.

EN | The Keller-Lammen Quintet was grounded two years ago and plays a combination of own compositions and pieces from the old jazz tradition of the fifties. Names as Gerry Mulligan with Chet Baker or Lee Morgan and Frank Rosolino were a great source of inspiration to these young musicians under the guidance of Ole Keller on the trumpet and Thomas Lammen on te trombone. This exceptional horn section is accompanied by a rhythm section consisting of guitar, bass and drums. This rhythm section lays a nice swinging foundation which underlines the beautiful themes and solos.
The first gigs on dutch ground have taken place in locations like Felix Meritis or the Mahogany Hall and we have already received some pretty enthusiastic reviews.
Some time ago we recorded our first CD called “Foggy” and now we are busy with our second CD where we want to focus more on our own compositions. The whole quintet contributes to this main focus.
It will be our tribute to melodic and swinging Jazzmusic !NL | Het Keller-Lammen Quintet, dat sinds twee jaar bestaat, speelt een combinatie van eigen composities en stukken die we uit de jazztraditie van de jaren 50 kennen. Gerry Mulligan met Chet Baker of Lee Morgan en Frank Rosolino zijn inspiratiebronnen voor deze groep jonge muzikanten, geleid door Ole Keller op trompet en Thomas Lammen op Trombone. Deze niet vaak voor komende blazerssectie wordt begeleidt door een pianoloze ritmesectie die bestaat uit gitaar, bas en drums en legt een swingende basis waarop de thema’s en solo’s mooi naar voren komen.
De eerste optredens op Nederlandse bodem, zoals in het Felix Meritis of Mahogany Hall, zijn al achter de rug, waar we goede reacties hebben ontvangen.
De eerste CD getiteld „ Foggy” is al een tijdje terug opgenomen en inmiddels zijn we al bezig met een tweede CD waar de focus ligt op eigen stukken. De hele band levert hiervoor zijn bijdragen.

Historie
Jazzcafé Bebop is gevestigd in een rijksmonument gebouwd in 1876. Tot 1980 werd het pand gebruikt als pakhuis waar men koffie en thee verhandelde. Firma Schilte & Co hadden het pand in bezit met de winkel op de Brabantse Turfmarkt in Delft. De takel waarmee men de zakken koffie en thee naar boven op de zolders hees, is nog steeds aan de voorkant van het pand te zien.
Na opheffing van de firma Schilte werd het verbouwd tot Jazzcafé Bebop. Een café waar men rustig een biertje van de tap of fles kan drinken (meer dan 90 soorten) en vaak genieten van live muziek (zie hiervoor de agenda onder “live programma”) Ook staat de Bebop bekend om zijn grote assortiment Whiskey’s.
Een gezellig oud café met een prachtige binnentuin waar men met velen 's avonds en overdag kan vertoeven.
